A Columbus officer was treated for a large bruise to his knee after a rowdy suspect allegedly kicked him Sunday, according to a report.

Officer David Duckworth was treated at Midtown Medical Center after a combative suspect kicked him at about 2:11 a.m. The injury occurred as the officer attempted to remove the suspect from the rear of his patrol vehicle.

The suspect was not named, nor were the circumstances surrounding that person's arrest given.
