Recap: Utah vs. Idaho State

Salt Lake City, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Loveridge poured in a career- high 27 points to lead the Utah Runnin' Utes past the Idaho State Bengals, 74-66, in a non-conference clash at the Huntsman Center.

Loveridge shot 10-of-14 from the field, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range for Utah (8-1) while also adding seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Delon Wright and Dakarai Tucker were also impressive for the hosts with 15 and 12 points, respectively.

For Idaho State (3-3), Tomas Sanchez put up 19 points and five assists, Andre Hatchett tallied 15 points and eight boards, and Chris Hansen chipped in 14 points.

Idaho State shot a lofty 51.9 percent from the field in the first half, while Utah wasn't far behind at 50 percent, but the Bengals took a 37-28 lead into intermission behind a 5-of-9 showing from beyond the arc.

The Utes trailed by nine with under 16 minutes to play before ripping off an 18-5 run to give them an advantage they would never surrender. The home team helped seal its fate in the second half by shooting 11-of-15 from the foul line.

Utah finished the night by shooting 11-of-22 from 3-point range, which helped make up for a game-high 13 turnovers.
