Masked man robs Family Dollar on Buena Vista Road

A masked robber took money from the Family Dollar on Buena Vista Road late Tuesday, Columbus police said.

No one was injured in the holdup which occurred about 8:25 p.m. at 4328 Buena Vista Road.

A man wearing a black scarf around his face entered through the front door and demanded money from the cashier. No weapon was seen during the robbery.

The man took an undisclosed amount of cash fled west on Buena Vista Road.

Police said the robber was in his 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 135 to 165 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket with red trim and loose fitting blue jeans.
