Two separate deaths in LaGrange on Friday are under investigation as homicides, police said.

The victims were identified as Larry Strickland, 36, and Pamela Hardy, 43, authorities said.

Strickland was found lying in the roadway at 307 Boulevard St. after police were called to check on a person shot about 3:41 p.m. Strickland was pronounced dead of two gunshot wounds to the torso.

Police said warrants have been issued for Erwin Brewer, 30, for murder in Strickland’s death. Brewer was still being sought Saturday.

About 15 minutes before midnight Friday, police were called to 816 Colquitt St. to check on the occupants at the home. During a search inside and outside the house, officers found evidence of a possible assault.

Officers were still checking outside the home when they found Hardy unresponsive on the ground. Paramedics arrived and determined that Hardy died after sustaining obvious injuries to her face and head.

Charlie Hardy, the victim’s 40-year-old husband, is being sought for questioning in the death that’s investigated as a murder.
