A robber allegedly knocked a man out and stole his wallet on Doyle Avenue Sunday, according to a Columbus Police report.
The 28-year-old victim told police he was walking north at about 10:15 p.m. when a skinny, 5-foot-7 black man approached him and asked if the victim knew him. When the victim said he didn't know the man, the suspect allegedly struck him in the head with either his fist or some other object.
When he woke up, his cell phone and wallet were gone.
The victim was unsure exactly where the robbery supposedly occurred. He said the suspect possibly had dreads.
