13 charged in valley drug roundup

Thirteen suspects have been charged with selling or possessing dangerous drugs as part of a crackdown on local street level dealers, the West Point Police Department said Tuesday.

At least eight people were arrested or charged while already already held in the jail. The suspects live in West Point, LaGrange and Valley, Ala. West Point police teamed up with Chambers County Drug Task Force and the Troup County Sheriff’s Department to conduct a holiday roundup of suspects. The charges stem from undercover investigators making drug buys from local street dealers.

Police weren’t available to comment on the charges late Tuesday.

The suspects were identified as Erin Dale Locklear, 38, sale of morphine in West Point; Ethan Taylor Whitehead, 23, sale of methadone in Valley; Debrozzo Tomarco Johnson, 41, two counts sale of cocaine and two counts sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of public housing in West Point; Mallory Jade Fincher, 25, sale of Xanax in Valley; Autumn Michele Hancock, 22, sale of Xanax in Valley; Joshua Montez Gunsby, 25, sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of public housing in West Point; Kimberly Raye Crenshaw, 39, sale of methamphetamine in LaGrange; Jessica Louise Fowler, 29, sale of methamphetamine in LaGrange; Jameson Lamar Hargett, 30, two counts sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of public housing in West Point; Tony Bernard Hargett, 39, two counts sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of public housing in West Point; William McQueen, 36, sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of public housing in West Point; Felicia Rechelle Brown, 25, sale of cocaine and sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of public housing in LaGrange and Michael Lewis James, 54, two counts sale of oxycodone in West Point.

Whitehead, Johnson, Fincher, Hancock and Fowler were arrested on Tuesday. Crenshaw, Jameson Hargett, and James were already held in the jail. Authorities said the arrests will make the area safer during the Christmas and new year holiday season.
