The Auburn, Ala. Police Division has charged a Montgomery man with murder after a 24-year-old Auburn resident was fatally stabbed in an East University Drive residence Tuesday, according to a press release.

Gregory S. Gray, Jr., 22, was arrested and charged Wednesday after investigators tied him to Richard Kenneth DeVore's homicide.

DeVore was found at about 9:11 p.m., fatally physically assaulted and stabbed, after police received a suspicious call. The body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's office in Montgomery for autopsy.

Officers served Gray with the felony warrant at a residence in Montgomery. He was allegedly an acquaintance of DeVore's.
