Las Vegas, NV (SportsNetwork.com) - Bryce Pressley scored 25 points to carry the Portland Pilots to a 93-79 victory over the Princeton Tigers in the finale of the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic at South Point Arena.
Kevin Bailey added 21 points for Portland (8-4), which also got 12 points apiece from Alec Wintering and Ryan Nicholas.
T.J. Bray netted 25 points for Princeton (9-2), which had an eight-game winning streak snapped. Jimmy Sherburne tacked on 15 points and Will Barrett finished with 11.
Both teams shot well in the first half, with Portland netting 53.6 percent from the floor and Princeton at 57.1 percent. The Pilots managed to knocked down 4-of-8 shots from beyond the arc during the period to claim a 41-36 lead at intermission.
The hot shooting continued on both sides in the second half. The Tigers hit on 52 percent from the floor but it was not enough to keep up with the Pilots, who shot 60 percent from the field and connected on 24-of-28 free throw attempts.
Princeton lost despite a 27-22 advantage in rebounds. Portland forced 17 turnovers.
