Recap: UCLA vs. Weber State

Los Angeles, CA ( - Kyle Anderson registered a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds as the UCLA Bruins posted a convincing 83-60 win over the Weber State Wildcats in a non-conference battle at Pauley Pavilion.

Anderson, who shot 6-of-9 from the floor and 9-of-10 at the free-throw line, added six assists as well for the Bruins (10-2) as they won for the second time in the last three outings. Tony Parker pitched in with 15 points and five rebounds, followed by Bryce Alford with 10 points and six assists for the hosts.

The Wildcats (2-5), losers of two of the last three, were led by Richaud Gittens with 15 points, Davion Berry added 14 and Jeremy Senglin 12 points in the setback.

Weber State actually led by five early in the meeting, but the team allowed the Bruins to knock down 53.3 percent from the floor in the first half, as well as 9-of-11 at the charity stripe. With a mere 2-of-13 effort out on the perimeter through the first 20 minutes of action, the Wildcats found themselves trailing by double figures at the break, 44-34.

In the second half the Bruins missed all four opportunities beyond the arc, but at the same time still converted a solid 45.5 percent from the floor in order to cruise to the win.

In addition to being beaten on the glass, 42-28, WSU was also limited to a mere 4-of-22 shooting behind the 3-point line on the evening.
