Auburn Police add charges to suspects in Jackie Lee's bar fatal shooting

Auburn Police have added charges to two suspects believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Marquez J. Patrick at Jackie Lee's bar on Dec. 15, according to a press release.

Shamon D. Williams, 21, of Opelika, and Shatarious R. Cobb, 21, of Auburn, were charged with attempted murder Monday. The charges are in addition to murder charges for Patrick's death.

According to the press release, police responded to the South College Street bar at about 2:15 a.m., after receiving reports of a shooting. Three men were found injured by gunshot on police's arrival. Two were transported to the East Alabama Medical Center by EMS, while one was transported in a personal vehicle.

Patrick died during treatment for his injuries. The other two victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A bond has been set for both suspects at $75,000.
