Recap: Seton Hall vs. Lafayette

Newark, NJ(SportsNetwork.com) - Gene Teague poured in a game-high 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Seton Hall Pirates to a 90-58 win over the Lafayette Leopards.

Brandon Mobley netted 16 and had 11 rebounds and Sterling Gibbs scored 14 points for Seton Hall (9-4), which has won five of its last six games. Brian Oliver added 11 points and eight rebounds.

Michael Hoffman, Joey Ptasinski and Dan Trist scored nine points apiece for Lafayette (4-7), which has lost two straight. Trist added nine rebounds, while Ben Freeland and Monty Boykins contributed eight points apiece.

Seton Hall scored the first six points of the game and Lafayette followed it up with five straight of its own. The single point that separated the teams at that point would be the closest Lafayette would get during the contest.

The Pirates went on a 26-2 burst and ended the half with a 32-point lead, 47-15. Lafayette played a much more competitive second half as the team almost tripled their points from the first half and matched Seton Hall by scoring 43 points in the final 20 minutes.
