Man attacked, robbed on Munson Drive

A 36-year-old Columbus man told police he was assaulted and robbed while walking home on Munson Drive Saturday.

According to the police report, the incident occurred around 12:15 a.m.

The victim told police he was attacked by someone who struck him with some type of pipe causing lacerations and swelling on the right side of his face.

He said his wallet and an unknown amount of currency was taken.

There was no description of the attacker given.

The victim was taken by ambulance to Midtown Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.

The case remains under investigation.
