What are you doing for New Year's Eve? Are you doing nothing? Would you like to do something, instead?

Here's a quick round-up of this year's year-end festivities around the Valley.

American Legion New Year’s Eve: This annual year-end party will be from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. at the American Legion, Post 35, 3361 N. Lumpkin Road. Admission is $30/person. To reserve call 706-332-7936. Your ticket includes: breakfast, party favors and door prizes. One hundred dollars will be given away at 10 p.m., 11 p.m. and 12 a.m.

Callaway Gardens New Year’s Eve: Including a reception, dinner, balloon drop and live music by Kidd Blue, the Gardens’ year-end party is a cocktail, adults-only event. Starts with a reception at 7:30 p.m.; a cash bar is available all night. Overnight pacakges start at $399. To reserve tickets, call 1-800-225-5292.

New Year’s Eve Bowl Out: End the year with friends and pins at the Mall Bowling Center on Marne Road, Fort Benning. Admission is $35 for an individual and $55 for a couple. Price includes unlimited bowling, party favors and breakfast buffet. Tickets can be purchased at the Mall Bowling Center. Call 706-682-7781 for more info.

10th Annual Rivertown New Year’s Eve Ball: Hosted by the Mr. & Mrs. Club of Columbus, this annual ball begins at 7 p.m. at the Columbus Convention & Trade Center’s main ballroom, at 801 Front Avenue. Includes a buffet dinner followed by dancing and live music from The Edd Jones Orchestra. The night will also include a champagne toast, balloon drop and door prizes; as well as a cash bar. St. Anne New Year’s Eve: The year-end festivities begin at 7 p.m. and wrap up at 1 a.m. Featuring hors d’oeuvres, prizes and dancing. The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $15/person or $25/couple. At St. Anne Catholic Church, at 2000 Kay Circle. Hosted by The Knights of Columbus, Bishop Gross Council 1019. For more info call 706-577-3339.
