The Columbus Symphony Orchestra's big fundraiser for the year is Toast of the Town. This year's is the fifth such event and will feature the Lee Brothers on March 14.

Matt and Ted Lee of Charleston, S.C., are well-known culinary personalities who have written popular cookbooks.

Between 6-8 p.m., guests can taste food prepared from their cookbook, "The Lee Bros. Charleston Kitchen," during this pre-Grand Tasting event at the RiverMill Event Centre, 3715 First Ave.

The actual Toast of the Town begins at 7 p.m. and includes tastings of a variety of fine wines, hand-crafted beers, Southern spirits and food from regional chefs, restaurants and suppliers.

There is also a silent wine auction, as well as a traditional silent auction, which features "treasures" and trips related to food and wine.

Tickets are $85 for the Grand Tasting and $150 for the Garden & Gun Chef's Tent that features the Lee Brothers.

This fundraiser supports guest artists, young musicians and educational programs for the CSO. It also supports The Orchestra Up-Close program for children in pre-K to the third grades; free and reduced tickets to students and military personnel and other programs that make music accessible for people of all ages and economic groups.

Call 706-256-3640 for tickets.
