A Columbus woman accused of knocking on doors at Clay Mobile Home Park early today was charged with impersonating a police officer on Victory Drive.

Crystal Tyner, 35, is held in the Muscogee County Jail for an 8 a.m. Saturday Recorder’s Court hearing.

In a report, police said officers were called to 3110 Victory Drive about 3 a.m. to check on a person knocking on doors.

Cindy Wilkinson, who lives at the home, said the woman walked through the front door and proceeded to the back of the home. She was beating on the door and screaming cops.

Wilkinson said she doesn’t know the woman. “All I know is that her stories don’t match up,” she said.

Wilkinson said she’s concerned about the area since the home was broken into a couple of months ago. “It’s getting worse over here,” she said.
