An elderly Phenix City woman died Friday morning, according to the Russell County Coroner.

She was found outside. The exact location has not been released.

Officials said that exposure to the elements may have been a factor.

Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. said the woman was pronounced dead at 9:19 a.m. at the Midtown Medical Center.

He said that Phenix City police are still investigating, but that the death does not appear to be suspicious.

Her name and exact age have not been released.
