Teen injured in gang-related assault

A 17-year-old is in good condition at St. Francis after suffering multiple lacerations in a gang-related assault Friday, according to a Columbus police report.

The victim was assaulted at about 3 p.m. at an apartment complex on the 4500 block of Old Cusseta Road.

Police responded to St. Francis at about 4:30 p.m. The victim suffered lacerations to her neck, face, head and arms.

She was assaulted in the complex's parking lot and yard. The weapon is listed as a possible box cutter.

There are two suspects: "Lisa" and "Demetrius," a black male and female with light complexions. Both have unknown addresses on Colorado Street.

The suspects are listed as strangers to the victim on the report; however the assault is also listed as involving gang activity.
