Man charged with forging prescription

A man was arrested Sunday after he was accused of forging a prescription at the Hilton Avenue CVS, according to a Columbus Police report.

Officers arrived at about 3 a.m. after Darin Mitchell, 28, allegedly attempted to submit a false prescription for a Schedule III drug. He was charged with possession and forgery in the first degree.

The type of drug Mitchell allegedly attempted to obtain was not given.

Mitchell was transported to Muscogee County Jail.
