Clemson, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Ian Miller scored 15 points, helping the Florida State Seminoles knock off the Clemson Tigers, 56-41, in Atlantic Coast Conference action at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Miller shot 6-of-12 from the field for the Seminoles (10-4, 1-1 ACC), who have won five of their last six. Devon Bookert and Aaron Thomas each contributed 10 points.
K.J. McDaniels netted 14 points to lead the Tigers (10-4, 1-1). McDaniels also pulled down seven rebounds, but none of his teammates reached double figures.
The Tigers had a woeful first half, where they shot a miserable 23.1 percent from the field, knocking down just six shots. On the other end, the Seminoles shot a confident 43.5 percent, good for a 21-16 at halftime.
Clemson improved to shoot 37.5 percent from the floor in the second half, but the Noles held off the Tigers' attempts at a comeback with a 50 percent shooting performance.
The Tigers' inability to hang onto the ball cost them considerably, as they turned it over 18 times and were outscored in points off turnovers, 25-5. The Noles also dominated in the paint, where they outscored their opponent by a staggering 44-16 margin.
