Almost six years after 82-year-old Arthur J. Mosley was found stabbed to death in his Pettis Road residence, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Lee County Sheriff's Department have arrested a suspect, according to a press release.

Timothy French, 43, was arrested Friday and charged with murder. A court date is pending.

Mosley was found dead in his residence on January 15, 2008 with multiple stab wounds to his head and chest.

While the press release did not elaborate how French was developed as a suspect, it stated that the resulting arrest came from "continuously seeking evidence that would lead to the one(s) responsible for Mosley's death."

"The Lee County Sheriff’s Department along with the GBI Crime Lab assisted and did tremendous work during this investigation," the release stated.
