Stockton, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Samna Taku notched 19 points, leading the Pacific Tigers over the Santa Clara Broncos, 80-68, in a West Coast Conference matchup at Alex G. Spanos Center.
Taku shot 7-of-13 from the field for the Tigers (10-6, 1-4 WCC), who bounced back from a four-game losing streak. Andrew Bock and Trevin Harris added 16 and 13 points, respectively.
Brandon Clark knocked down a game-high 20 points for the Broncos (10-9, 3-3), who have lost two of their last four. Evan Roquemore followed with 19 points.
The Tigers shot a composed 51.9 percent from the field in the game's opening half, with the Broncos mired at 35.7 percent. At halftime the score was 33-29 in Pacific's favor.
In the second half the Tigers improved on their solid first half with a 56 percent field goal percentage, including 4-of-7 from the perimeter. At 34.6 percent from the floor, the Broncos never made much of a comeback push, down by as many as 13, midway through the period.
Pacific outscored its opponent in the paint, 32-20, and on points off turnovers, 15-8, in the convincing victory.
