Man arrested after allegedly cursing at police dispatchers

A 56-year-old man was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct during a 911 telephone call Sunday after he allegedly repeated called police dispatchers and cursed at them, according to a Columbus Police report.

Officers arrested Thomas Smith at his 40th Street home at about 3:05 a.m. after Smith had allegedly called dispatchers about eight times. His reason for calling and what he allegedly said to the dispatchers was not given.

Smith was transported to Muscogee County Jail.
