Auburn man charged with striking 22-year-old with vehicle

An Auburn, Ala. man was arrested and charged with second degree assault after he allegedly struck a 22-year-old with a Chevrolet Impala, according to Auburn Police Division press release.

Jeremy Rashad Lapread, 27, was arrested Saturday after he allegedly hit the victim with his 2003 Impala. The victim was transported to East Alabama Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

A $6,000 bond has been set for Lapread, who faces additional harassment charges. More charges may be added at a later date.
