A 45-year-old man was charged with stalking after he allegedly started screaming and throwing objects in his Fifth Avenue apartment early Monday morning, according to a Columbus Police report.

John Kobre Jr. was arrested shortly after 5 a.m., Monday. His wife told police that he woke up and started throwing things while cursing at her some time before, which prompted her to request assistance.

While investigating, police found Kobre was ordered to stay away from his wife. He was charged with stalking and taken to Muscogee County Jail.
