Police recovered a stolen vehicle with a Virginia tag Tuesday while patrolling Eagles Trace Apartments on Torch Hill Road, according to a Columbus Police report.

An officer was patrolling the 2000 block apartments at about 5:30 p.m., when a woman flagged him down and said two young men were acting suspicious whenever he drove by. He went looking for the two men, and found them driving a blue vehicle .

The officer followed the men until they parked in front of one of the apartment buildings. Both men then got out of the vehicle, walked in opposite directions until they rounded the corners of the building, and then took off running.

After running the tag, the officer discovered the vehicle was reported stolen. The car was towed to Columbus Towing and Recovery.

The suspects are described as two slender black men. One was described as 5-foot-7 and weighed about 160 pounds. The other was 6-foot-3 and weighed about 190 pounds.
