More than $2,000 worth of marijuana seized at Lakeside Drive home

Special Operations Unit agents found almost nine ounces worth of marijuana after executing a search warrant at a Lakeside Drive residence, according to court testimony.

Dexter Williams, 50, faced felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon charges during a Wednesday morning Recorder's Court hearing. He also faced a misdemeanor possession of drug related objects charge.

An officer told the court that agents searched the Lakeside Drive residence Monday after investigating activities for some time. When agents swept the house, Williams was found with two other people inside the residence.

Agents found evidence of illegal activity scattered throughout the house, the officer said. Bags of marijuana were found in the bedroom, living room and kitchen of the apartment. Several digital scales were also recovered, as well as marijuana cigarettes and $508 worth of cash.

The 8.6 ounces of marijuana allegedly found was valued at $2,454.

Ten Hydrocodone pills were also allegedly recovered during the search, the officer said. Those pills were valued at $200.

No personal items belonging to Williams were recovered on scene. However, Williams allegedly had placed the power bill in his name. He also allegedly admitted to staying at the house from time to time when agents questioned him.

Judge Michael Cielinski set a $41,000 bond for Williams' charges.
