Epperly Tire and Auto Centers in Columbus plans to donate proceeds from its “Changing Oil Changing Lives” program to MercyMed in Columbus.

The business will give 100 percent of the money it takes in for oil changes performed 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Jan. 22 to the organization at 3700 2nd Ave., near the Bibb City area of Columbus.

“MercyMed of Columbus does such a fantastic job serving the community,” said Epperly Tire owner David Epperly. “We couldn’t think of a better organization to kick off the New Year with.”

MercyMed is a nonprofit medical clinic that provides care to any patient who “walks through our doors,” all in the name of Christ, according to its website. Fees are based on a sliding scale that can be as low as $25, while the clinic accepts private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and PeachCare, the latter a program for children in Georgia.

The Epperly centers are at 1642 Whittlesey Road, 7608 Schomburg Road and 2041 Auburn Ave.
