Where to see the 2014 Best Picture nominees in Columbus

Earlier today, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for its annual awards, honoring the best in film acting, directing, writing, editing, scoring and much more.

This year's ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 2 and air on ABC. It will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.

The most important award, conventionally, is for Best Picture. This year's nine nominees -- and where to see them -- are:

• "12 Years a Slave": showing at Carmike Ritz 13; the DVD/Blu-ray comes out March 4.

• "American Hustle": showing at Carmike Ritz 13; the DVD/Blu-ray release is TBA.

• "Captain Phillips": showing at Carmike Ritz 13; the DVD/Blu-ray comes out Jan. 21

• "Dallas Buyers Club": no longer showing in Columbus but is showing at UA Tara Cinemas 4 in Atlanta; the DVD/Blu-ray comes out Feb. 4.

• "Gravity": returns to Columbus at both Carmike Ritz 13 and Carmike Wynnsong 10; the DVD/Blu-ray comes out Feb. 25.

• "Her": showing at Carmike Ritz 13; the DVD/Blu-ray release is TBA.

• "Nebraska": no longer showing in Columbus but is showing at UA Tara Cinemas 4 in Atlanta; the DVD/Blu-ray release is TBA.

• "Philomena": no longer showing in Columbus but is showing at UA Tara Cinemas 4 in Atlanta; the DVD/Blu-ray release is TBA.

• "The Wolf of Wall Street": showing at Carmike 15, Carmike Ritz 13 and Carmike Wynnsong 10; the DVD/Blu-ray release is TBA.
