Police, FBI seek suspects in Regions Bank robbery attempt

The Columbus Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation are looking into the attempted robbery of Regions Bank on Friday.

Two masked men attempted to rush through the locked bank door at 8:46 a.m., police said. No one was injured in the attempt at 5385 Veterans Parkway.

After police arrived at the scene, a witness told officers that two men wearing ski masks attempted to force their way into the closed bank. No weapons were seen.

Both suspects were described as white. One is in his 20s, about 6 feet tall with a thin build while the second suspect is short, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and with a medium build. Both were wearing white and black running suits with black back packs.

The attempted robbery remains under investigation.
