Former Carver High defensive back Kiante Walton, who just finished his senior season with the Tigers, received a handful of big college offers over the weekend.

Walton, currently an Appalachian State commitment, picked up offers from Kansas State and Brigham Young University on Friday. On Sunday night, he was offered by Missouri, his second offer from the Southeastern Conference.

He already claimed offers from Vanderbilt, Georgia Southern, Army, Troy, Georgia State and Southern Miss, among others.

He is planning a visit to Kansas State this coming weekend and also has another visit planned for Jan. 31. He said he isn't sure where he will be taking that visit.

He pointed out that he is still committed to Appalachian State, but that his status "could change soon."

Walton conceded that his dream offer would come from the University of Georgia, a team he has followed his whole life.

Walton recorded 34 tackles, four interceptions and 11 passes broken up for Carver in 2013.
