Alleged drug dealer arrested during parole check

A 33-year-old man with intending to distribute marijuana Thursday after parole officers allegedly discovered drugs in his Edgechester Avenue address, according to a Columbus Police report.

Officers were conducting a parole compliance check at Lugene Lewis' address at about 9:30 p.m., when they spotted a paper bag with two smaller plastic bags of marijuana inside. The two bags weighed a collective 31.7 grams, with an estimated street value of $317.

Lewis was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
