At least two cars were broken into at an 5443 apartment complex Monday, according to a Columbus Police report.

The victims reported that a black man in his late teens to early 20s broke into a white 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a blue 2009 Jeep Wrangler shortly after midnight. Nothing was reported taken from the Cherokee, nor was it damaged, according to the report. No items were listed as taken from the Wrangler.

The suspect was described as between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10. He was allegedly wearing all black.

A victim later added that he noticed a white Ford Escape follow him into the apartment complex on Sunday. The vehicle drove past him as he parked at his apartment. When he went out to walk his dog, he noticed the vehicle driving slowly through the parking lot.

There was no description of the Escape's occupants because the windows were heavily tinted, the victim said.
