mowen@ledger-enquirer.comJanuary 28, 2014

The Columbus Public Works department as of about 5 p.m. started getting calls about icing on some bridges, primarily the 13th Street Bridge, Director Pat Biegler reports.

She said she expects her department to respond to more calls about icy conditions as the evening progresses.

Citizens are advised to drive only if necessary and to use extreme caution crossing bridges. Citizens are also urged to report icy or otherwise dangerous conditions to the city’s 311 call center and emergency situations to 911.
