The TSYS board of directors has named a former Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. chairman and former Coca-Cola Co. executive to its board. The board now has 15 directors.

The new directors are William M. Isaac, senior managing director and global head of Financial Institutions for FTI Consulting and former chairman of the FDIC, and Connie D. McDaniel, former senior executive at the Coca-Cola Co. and Ernst & Young.

Issacs served under Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. He also is on the board of directors of Fifth Third Bancorp. McDaniel is also on the board of Ridgeworth Funds in Atlanta.

“Both bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our company that will be extremely valuable as we continue to grow and expand our role in the ever-changing payments industry,” TSYS Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Phil Tomlinson said in a statement.
