Recap: Eastern Wash vs. North Dakota

Cheney, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Aaron Anderson scored 17 points, leading four players in double figures, as North Dakota defeated the Eastern Washington Eagles, 73-61, in Big Sky Conference play at Reese Court.

Troy Huff accounted for 15 points and nine rebounds for North Dakota (9-10, 6-3 Big Sky), followed by Alonzo Traylor and Jaron Nash with 11 points apiece as the squad won for the fourth time in as many outings.

The Eagles (8-12, 3-6), losers of two straight and four of the last five, were paced by Drew Brandon who registered a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Venky Jois responded with 15 points and Ognjen Miljkovic with 14 and seven boards in the setback.

EWU led by as many as five points early in the first half, but the squad shot only 2-of-11 behind the 3-point line through the opening 20 minutes, leaving them with a 37-31 deficit at the break.

The visitors made only one of their 10 chances on the perimeter in the second half, but at the same time limited the Eagles to only 34.4 percent accuracy from the floor, en route to the 12-point decision.

In addition to converting only 37.7 percent from the field for the contest, Eastern Washington was also forced into 16 turnovers.
