A section of the Chattahoochee RiverWalk was closed after a fire ignited grass in Rigdon Park, authorities said.

Police said the fire ignited about 4:15 p.m. forcing officials to temporarily close a section of the path along the river. Firefighters couldn't get to the fire from the park entrance.

A crew was able to get to the fire from the back side of the park area to extinguish the blaze.

The RiverWalk was reopened about two hours later.
