Farr Road brothers brawl using wine bottle

A battle between two brothers ended after one sibling bashed the other with a wine bottle at a Farr Road mobile home Thursday night, according to a Columbus Police report.

The 36-year-old brother who was reportedly battered with the bottle was reportedly so intoxicated that police would not allow him to sign a waiver refusing medical attention. He had a cut above his left eye.

Although the report did not state what caused the fight, police noted the brothers were engaging in a "mutual altercation that escalated physically." After his sibling struck him with the wine bottle, the victim walked back to his Walker Street apartment and refused to get medical treatment.

When officers asked if he wished to press charges, the victim told police it was a "family matter." He was subsequently taken to Midtown Medical Center for treatment.
