Columbus State hosts Lynn for home-opener today

The Columbus State baseball team will play its home-opener today at 1 p.m. against Lynn.

It will be the first game of a doubleheader. Game 3 of the series will be Sunday at noon.

The Cougars are 2-2 after crushing Tuskegee 11-1 on Wednesday. CSU opened the season last weekend on the road, losing 2-of-3 at West Alabama.

Five CSU players are batting .333 or better: Blake Edwards (.625), Dustn Averett (.333), Brendan Collins (.333) and Jackson Oliver (.333).

Lynn enters the series at 3-1 after a 9-5 win over Palm Beach Atlantic on Monday.
