2013 in Muscogee County

Charles Foster Jr., 24, shot in a nightclub Jan. 1. Police charged Dequandrea Artavas Truitt and Shaquille Porter.

Benney Pulley Jr., 33, found shot to death in his home Jan. 27. Police charged Javon Rice and Malcom White.

Lakeisha Shoulders, 32, fatally shot on Debby Street March 29. Police charged Robert Junior Taylor.

Terry Hargett, 25, found fatally shot in a vehicle, March 31. Police charged Devante Oshea Shepard.

Maurice Streeter, 24, shot March 24, died in April. Police charged Jama Zanders, 24.

Derickes Maurice Miles, 27, died April 19. Police charged Shakeim Malcolm Dorsey.

David Rutherford, 57 found dead June 26 behind Greater Ward Chapel AME. Police charged Cody Jamal Mathis.

Harry Short Jr., 21, shot Sept. 14, outside Club Ciroc. Police charged Darren Gray.

David Scott, 34, shot Sept. 19 in his friend’s car on Seventh Street and Coolidge Drive. Police charged Tyrecquiss Wells, Jayln Dixon, Christian Pender, Christopher Whitaker and Donald Fair.

Arthur J. Holt Jr., 26, shot in a parking garage in downtown Columbus. Marquis Tirese Shaw, 21, was charged.

Dior T. Cheney, 23, shot and killed on Benning Drive near Head Street in October. A warrant for the arrest of Reginald Jamal Jackson was issued. Terrell Screws, 27, shot and killed Nov. 8 in front an apartment on Winston Road. Raymond Leon Richmond was charged with murder.

Issac Kindred, 57, allegedly beaten to death Nov. 9 by another inmate in the Muscogee County Jail. Jeffrey McKinney has been charged with murder in Kindred’s death.

2013 Unsolved Cases

Brenda Lowe, 51, stabbed in her home Jan. 8.

Shannon Fields, 20, shot in a nightclub March 27.

Vashun Lemont Ramsey, 36, shot in the face April 27 at Renaissance Villa Apartments.

Andy Phillip, 30, found Oct. 9 shot in his mother’s car.

Brittany Jenkins, 25, shot Nov. 23 at the Best Western on Macon Road.

2014 Black-on-black Homicides

Troy Saunders, 39, of Fort Mitchell, Ala., killed Jan. 24 at the Warm Springs Road Super 8 Motel. Trevon Brown, Neisha Jones, Mayson Gibson and Christopher Womack have been charged in the shooting.

Unsolved Case

Marvine Bailey, 47, shot and killed during a drive-by shooting on Forsyth Street.
