Man killed near Prattville after striking culvert

PRATTVILLE, ALA. — A Jones, Ala. man was killed Saturday after he struck a culvert on Interstate 65, according to an Alabama Department of Public Safety press release.

Cornelius Danyell Person, 25, struck the culvert while driving his 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme at about 4:55 a.m. The structure is designed to allow water to flow underneath roadways.

Person crashed about five miles north of Prattville, according to the release.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the case.
