Lady Cougars golf finishes eighth at invitational

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Columbus State women's golf team finished in eighth place out of 17 teams at the World Golf Invitational at the Slammer and Squire golf course Monday.

CSU shot a team score 67-over 643, 314 in round one and 329 in round two.

Steph Charteris had the low acore for CSU, hitting a 75 and 77 for a combined eight-over 152. She finished in 10th place individually.

Katie Cross finished tied for 36th with a 19-over 163 (78, 85), Ciera Baglery was tied for 40th with a 20-over 164 (81, 83), Courtney Lowery also tied for 40th with a 164 (80, 84) and Jodi Henley finsihed tied for 72nd with a 31-over 175 (87, 88).

The Lady Cougars will compete again Feb. 24 in the TSYS Collegiate Classic at Country Club of Columbus.
