Baseball: Columbus State hosts UNC Pembroke in Saturday doubleheader

Columbus State opens Peach Belt Conference play Saturday at Ragsdale Field with a doubleheader against UNC Pembroke at 1 p.m.

The Cougars (3-4) and UNC Pembroke (6-0) will meet Sunday at 1 p.m. for final game of the three-game series.

In game one, Mike McGinnity (0-0, 4.00 ERA) will be on the mound for CSU. The Braves will pitch Logan Cook (2-0, 3.00 ERA).

In game two, Caden Ferguson (0-1, 2.89 ERA) will start for CSU and Garrett Hickman (2-0, 0.00 ERA) will start for UNC Pembroke.

In Sunday's game, CSU plans to send Bryan Headley (1-1, 0.90 ERA) against Connor Pratt (2-0, 6.00 ERA).

Admission is $3. CSU will broadcast the all three games in the series live on Cougar Sports TV.
