CSU rifle posts a 4518, falls to Memphis

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. -- The No. 18 Columbus State rifle team shot a 4518 score against No. 6 Memphis Sunday. Memphis won with a 4647.

CSU totaled 2236 in smallbore and 2282 in air rifle.

Jay Cross led CSU with a 1135, shooting 564 in smallbore and 571 in air rifle.

Marko Maksimovic shot a 1134, 563 in smallbore and 571 in air rifle. J.S. Fielding totaled 1119, including a 552 in smallbore, Meghan Robertson had a 1118, 557 in smallbore and 561 in air rifle and Marissa Furney shot a 1110 total including a team best 572 in air rifle.

CSU will next compete in the NRA Qualifier Sunday in Murray, Ky.
