Georgia falls to Kennesaw State 10-7

ATHENS, Ga. -- The Georgia Bulldogs baseball team fell to Kennesaw State 10-7 Tuesday.

Georgia had three runs in the second inning, but Kennesaw State took a 6-5 lead going into the ninth.

Kennesaw State scored four runs in the top of the ninth, and Georgia's attempt at a comeback fell short at just two runs in the final inning.

Zach Bowers went 3-5 with an RBI for the Bulldogs. The losing pitcher was Jared Cheek. He threw for 1 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on three hits with one walk.

Georgia (1-3) will play at Florida State Friday starting at 4 p.m.
