Eugene Hudson

Attempting to prevent her boyfriend from getting away with her car ended with injuries Tuesday for a 24-year-old woman, according to a Columbus Police report.

So distraught was the woman when police responded to the Victory Drive Huddle House that Officer Nathan Tooley could only understand one message: that her boyfriend, 26-year-old Eugene Hudson, has stolen Buick LeSabre.

Tooley later learned that after Hudson took her vehicle from their Eighth Street apartment, the woman attempted to follow Hudson in a Toyota Camry. Sometime after, Hudson crashed into her near the Victory Drive Huddle House. The woman sustained some injuries, but they were not disclosed in the report.

Hudson was charged with aggravated assault, driving with a suspended license, failure to report an accident involving injury, failure to maintain lane, leaving the scene of an accident, no proof of insurance, reckless driving and driving too fast for conditions. He was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
