Georgia Southern holds off Georgia Tech 4-3

FROM STAFF REPORTSSTATESBORO, Ga. -- Georgia Southern built a lead and held off a late rally by Georgia Tech Wednesday to take a 4-3 win.February 19, 2014 

The Eagles built a 4-1 lead. Tech made it close by adding two runs in the top of the seventh.

Brandon Gold went 3-for-4 for Tech with a RBI. Tech only had a total of five hits in the game.

Jason Richman (2-0) got the win in relief. Starter Zac Ryan (0-2) took the loss for Tech.

The Jackets host a three-game series with UNC Greensboro beginning Friday at 4 p.m. The other games are 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
