Report: Robbers attempt to choke teen near Cusseta Road church

Police are searching for two robbers who attempted to choke a 15-year-old girl Wednesday near Cusseta Road Christian Center Church, according to a Columbus Police report.

The teen reported the robbery to police at about 9 p.m., Wednesday. She told police that she was near the 2300 block church at about 5 p.m., when two men approached her. They pulled her hair and attempted to choke her before taking her black motorcycle jacket, purse and prepaid phone.

The victim described the suspects as two black men in their 20s to early 30s. One was described as short, with a light complexion and a tattoo on his left arm. The other, described as tall, was last seen wearing black pants.

She told police the suspects were last seen driving a black 2004 black SUV. The car was described as closest to either a Chevrolet Tahoe or a GMC Yukon.
