A 64-year-old woman discovered her Ford Explorer had already been recovered when she attempted to file a report for the missing vehicle Wednesday morning, according to a Columbus Police report.

The woman told police that she last saw her 2000 Ford Explorer Tuesday night after she parked it at a 26th Street address. The keys were inside the vehicle at the time it was taken, according to the report.

While speaking with the officer, a family member told police that the woman's grandson discovered the car was being held at Columbus Towing and Recovery.

The report did not state how the vehicle was found, nor did it list any suspects.
