CVCC shuts out West Georgia Tech 10-0 behind Rentz and Lynn

Dalton Rentz and Dan Lynn spread six hits over seven innings Thursday as Chattahoochee Valley Community College blanked West Georgia Tech 10-0 in seven innings.

Rentz (3-0) gave up five hits and struck out nine while improving his ERA to 0.98. Lynn gave up one hit and struck out three in relief.

The Pirates (11-1) scored seven runs in the seventh inning after there were two outs. Leading 3-0, John Holland broke the game open with a 2-run homer to make it 5-0.

Cam Sperry and Drew Lingo each drove in two runs in the win.
