Georgia falls to Florida State 10-4

TALLAHASSEE, Fla, -- The Georgia Bulldogs fell to Florida State 10-4 Saturday. The game was close early on, but the Seminoles pulled away after a four-run seventh inning.

Hunter Cole hit an RBI double in the top of the first for Georgia, but FSU tied the game in the second.

Cole once again put his team in the lead with a two-run home run over the left field wall in the third inning, but Florida State scored two runs of its own in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 3-3.

Cody McCance hit an RBI single in the top of the sixth, but the Seminoles once again matched Georgia's score in the bottom of the inning.

From that point on it was all Florida State. The Seminoles scored six runs late to take the win.

Cole went 2-4 with three RBIs for the Bulldogs. Jared Cheek absorbed the loss. He pitched for one inning and gave up four runs on one hits with one strikeout and three walks.

Georgia (1-5) will play Florida State today starting at 1 p.m. for the final game in a series.
